Creamer Potatoes

Mashed potatoes are a staple on Thanksgiving! However, this recipe doesn’t have to be confined to just turkey day! Here is my recipe for mashed potatoes.

4 pounds of potatoes (creamer potatoes, russet potatoes, white potatoes, any variety will do really)

Salt and pepper to taste

2 Cups warm Milk (heavy cream if you’re feeling frisky 🙂 )

3 TBS melted butter

Directions:

Peel and dice potatoes, add to a large pot and cover with cold water. Bring to a boil add, 2 TBS of salt. Cook until fork tender, about 20 minutes or so.

Drain potatoes and put into a large bowl, add warm milk and melted butter. Mix well until the consistency you like. I like a little bit of  chunks remaining in my potatoes. If this is unappealing to you run your potatoes through a ricer or food mill.

Enjoy!
