Growing up, Applesauce on Thanksgiving was a must, and still is. A hint of cinnamon and delicious apple flavor merry through the dish. It’s simple and delightful. This recipe has gone around my family for as long as I can remember!

Ingredients:

8 Apples, peeled and Cored (a variety of apples will do, whichever you like)

1/2 Cup of Sugar

1 TSP Cinnamon

2 Cups of water*

Directions:

Peel and core apples, slice into pieces, it really doesn’t matter how you cut them they will get all mashed. Put into a stock pot

Add water* I’d only add about an inch or an inch and a half of water into the pot, the apples make a great deal of liquid.

Simmer for 20 minutes or until the apples become mushy. Add sugar and cinnamon. Stir the apples until you get the consistency you like.

Serve hot or cold, whichever you like!
Enjoy 🙂
